Sustainable homes, for example, are options that show that it is possible to cause less impact to nature and maintain a great level of quality of life.

What is a sustainable home?

Sustainable homes, also called eco-homes, are those designed and constructed in a way that respects the environment and follows the principles of environmental sustainability, without leaving aside the well-being of its residents. They are also example of rational and conscious use of natural resources.

In addition to the benefits to society and the environment, they bring benefits to residents, such as the reduction in spending on electricity and water.

These improvements are made possible by the conversion of solar energy into electrical energy. Solar energy is clean, renewable and inexhaustible. This happens through a photo chemical reaction that happens inside of the solar photo voltaic panels, where photo-voltaic cells, made of Silicon.

Rainwater is also collected, handled and used for less noble purposes, such as cleaning floors, comfortable shoes and other applications.

A partnership for sustainability

Committed to improving the living conditions of the people and with the sustainability, Rotoplast and Ten of Brazil joined in a sustainable House project to prove the viability and effectiveness of their products and services in providing quality of life with fewer negative impacts to our planet.

The project consisted of building a house in the city of wonder, in Santa Catarina. The ecological House, as some call it, is already a reality and are in full operation. According to its residents, economies are already happening and are visible in the water and energy bills.

Thought to encourage the sustainability and the preservation of the environment, the project is proof that it is possible to align technology, development, sustainability and quality of life for residents in a single building. With 100% approval of the family, the project is already a success.

The systems used in sustainable House

For the realization of the project and the achievement of the desired result some systems were used to promote the optimization of resources and the quality of life of family resident.

The installation of an air conditioner evaporative , which, in addition to being modern and technology, is the best HVAC system for temperature reduction and cleansing and moisturizing the air market. It cools any size environment, and promotes a savings of up to 95% of electricity-compared with conventional devices. He acts, yet, in improving the health of residents, who rely on a healthy and clean air, free of bacteria and fungi that cause respiratory diseases and various.

To combat the cost of electricity coming from the shower, the biggest villain of the residences, was installed in sustainable home water heating system that uses solar radiation to heat the water going to the showers. With this system, the higher expense of causing residence was eliminated and took a big breath on the electric bill.

Also photo-voltaic plates were installed with a capacity of generating 250 watts each, at a voltage of 24VDC. With them, added batteries that store the energy generated during the day to be used during the night.
